Why is this site here?

I write to uplift and to impart a bit of wisdom, or at least a bit of thought. I write to mediate on the the things that are of eternal importance, or determine the things that fall under that category.

I write to clarify, to prioritize, to sharpen our minds — both my own and yours — for I find that the world suffers much from pervasive sloppy thinking and language, spoken or otherwise. I write from thoughts that I encounter or that my reading provokes: thoughts nerdy, Christian, academic or otherwise.
